Carbide.ui themes edition has been created to facilitate nokia phone themes creation. I find my self not too comfort with the interface, but I managed to understand how it works. Thanks to the help packaged with this free software.
The themes creation is really an art intense. Adding background image, sound effect, animation, custom icon, etc, all I can imagine.
And then you have to package your just created themes in a sis file. This file then will be deployed to the phone.
At this point, I got stuck! While trying to create a private key and a certficate to sign the themes, it frustating me with the same error message (as the title tell) over and over.
I go the forum, and find some related thread, but no luck!
I try to create a key with the command line tools (makekeys), and then managed them with the ui but still the same error.
And then I think may be this is because the software run as limited user.
May be it needs more privilege to manage the key?
I go ahead and try to run the software as the Administrator.
Load the key and saving…..tadaa! No more error message.
The phone (Nokia N73 Express Music) is set to take self signed software (read the guide).
Transfer process was success, the software was installed with a warning "un trusted cert..", continue anyway.
As the installation finished, the themes could be applied using the theme manager.
